-sigh- You should have left the advertising of Hellsing to me.
Indeed, a sophisticated website based upon the recently ended manga series made by Japanese manga-ka Kouta Hirano. Hellsing takes it's origins from the classic novel,
Bram Stroker's Dracula and incorporates the supernatural realm established in the book as the setting of the world.
The year is 1999, The Hellsing Supernatural Agency, headed by Sir Integra Fairbrooke Wingates Hellsing(Grand-daughter to vampire slayer/hunter Abraham Van Helsing from
Dracula) seeks to establish normality in Her Majesty's realm of England and the world by eliminating supernatural threats that could endanger the populace. Despite being a human-based organization, Hellsing has a secret weapon in dealing with supernatural threats. The Vampire Alucard, who is none other than Dracula but enslaved to the Hellsing family rather than destroyed by them. Being the literal Godfather of Vampires, he is the perfect man ... er undead to use to destroy them.
Their main rivals are the Iscariots, Vatican Special forces of the thirteenth division codenamed after the disciple Judas. Their leader, Enrico Maxwell, seeks power and a world clean of scum ... scum equaling heretics, freaks, and monsters. The Iscariot organization is not only rival, but an enemy to Hellsing. But unlike Hellsing, they make use of their own special men to combat vampires. Namely, beings called Regenerators. Iscariot's trump card is the Father Alexander Anderson, the 'Perfect' Regenerator. Father Anderson is far more experience than his colleagues in exterminating the supernatural, combined with his superhuman strength and blessed weapon ... he is the weapon of god named 'Divine Punishment'.
But a threat looms to the world, an organization long thought to have been destroyed by Hellsing in WWII. Millennium, named for the Thousand Year Reich, is a group of 'artifical vampires' codenamed FREAKs. They seek nothing more than destruction and endless war. This group was made by Adolf Hitler in WWII with his special order number 666, and ordered a man other wise known as 'The Major' to head it. 'The Major' has no known name, is rather fat, and seeks nothing more than endless war that he can sit and watch to enjoy. This organization threatens to destroy the whole world, with their 1000 vampires and giant air warships(zeppelins). Their strongest man who can stand up to Alucard and Anderson is an enigmatic being called 'The Captain'. Captain has no known name either(Another one of Kouta Hirano's earlier works uses the same character design and the name Hans Gunsche, so fans have such named his so) and is revealed to be a lycanthrope.
That is the plot of Hellsing in a nutshell.
Now we come to the forum, where the course of the story has been swayed by the appearance of new races of supernatural beings. New members from all backgrounds have joined all three organizations, and still even new organizations arise in the world of Hellsing.
London is no longer the battleground of the three organizations, but the whole world is. From the Americas to Europe to Asia, conflicts occur everywhere.
